Day 1 - Windhoek to Swakopmund
For those meeting us from the coast can either join the tour from day 2 or day 3.
Leaving the capitol of Windhoek behind we meet at Arebbusch lodge at 7am and transit Northwest to the coastal desert town of Swakopmund, known as Namibia’s adventure capitol. Arriving around lunch time, you will have free time to explore, settle into your room and have some lunch. The afternoon you can undertake an optional activity, such as Quad Biking, Sky Diving or a just have a beer at the coast. If you do not feel adventurous you can do shopping or visit the Crystal Gallery, Museums, or the Aquarium by foot.

Day 2 - Swakopmund
After a relaxing morning we get onto Fat Bikes (will be provided to you) and explore the beautiful Namib sand dunes for 4 hours with a guide and ending cycling on the beach.

Cycling distance: 30 – 40km on the Fat bikes on dunes (3.5 to 4 hrs)

Day 3 - Spitzkoppe
We depart Swakopmund after an early breakfast and onwards through the amazing moon landscape by mountain bike, descending to the Goanikontes Oasis, where we stop for lunch. After lunch we transit to Spitzkoppe, which rises about 1,784 metres (5,853 ft) above sea level. Also known as the “Matterhorn” of Namibia. Here we camp at a community campsite/or optionally stay in tents with beds and en -suite facilities and then have the opportunity to go an explore the rock pools by foot or by bike. The evening we enjoy campfire dinner under the stars.

Day 4 - Cape Cross
After enjoying a camp breakfast, we cycle from our campsite at Spitzkoppe via the Dorob Park, descending towards the coast to Cape Cross, home of more than 300 000 Cape Fur seals. Our campsite for tonight is near the beach, not far from the Cape Cross.

Day 5 - Palmwag
Today we cycle North along the coastal salt road, towards the Skeleton Coast Park. We transfer the rest of the way to our camp, hoping to spot desert elephants, giraffe, zebra, and springboks En-route to our campsite at Palmwag Oasis. At camp we enjoy the coolness off the pool & enjoy the sunset with an ice-cold beer.

Cycling distance: 70 – 90km gravel (Flat alongside coastline) 3 – 4 hrs
Vehicle distance: 330km Gravel Road
Day 6 - Hobatere
This morning we have a rare opportunity to cycle for 3-4 hours in the Palmwag concession. We continue to transit or cycle via the Grootberg Pass. Here we have an amazing view of the plains, west towards Etosha, we can still see wildlife on the way. After lunch next to the road, we transit to Hobatere, where we can see elephants and many game species and or predators. The camp also has a waterhole where we can view animals at night. Optional night drive.

Cycling distance: 50km gravel (3hrs - undulating climbing hills & descending pass)
Vehicle distance: 130km (70km Gravel & 50km tarr)
Day 7 - Otjiwa
Leaving Hobatere we transit via the town of Outjo to Otjiwa, one of the oldest game farms in Namibia. The reserve has many waterholes and have lots of game including white rhino. If time allows, we will undertake a sunset bike ride on jeep track roads looking for game. Evening we enjoy sitting next to our campsite fire.

Cycling distance: short sunset cycle (1 – 2 hrs jeep tracks)
Vehicle distance: 270km (3.5hrs) Tarr Road
Day 8 - Transfer back to Windhoek
After a quick breakfast we go with a local Guide and cycle for 2.5 – 3 hours on jeep track roads looking for game & rhinos. After cycling we depart back to Windhoek, where your amazing cycling holiday ends.
For those who started in Swakopmund, transfer back to Swakopmund from Windhoek will be extra N$ 500.00 for person & bike.

ACCOMMODATION ON TOUR:
The indication in the itinerary of what type of accommodation is provided each day are guidelines only and are used to give an idea of the accommodation offered, rather that and exact description. Please keep in mind however that standards can vary from one trip to the next, and occasionally we may need to change a night-stop without advance warning. We cannot guarantee the use of particular properties. Facilities and characteristics may vary from those described.
*CH - Comfortable Hotels, Lodges or Guest Houses with twin or single rooms and en-suite facilities. Generally good levels of service and often added amenities such as restaurant, bar, swimming pool and garden.
*SH - Standard Hotels, Lodges or Guest Houses, usually with twin or single rooms and en-suite facilities. These are generally standard, no-frills hotels perfectly accepted to most, do not expect too much. These are often small, family run establishments.
*FC – Full Camping – These nights we camp at designated Camping Grounds either at a Lodge or Private Farm’s camping ground. Campsites have shared ablution facilities, with flushable toilets and warm water showers. Most campsites have a bar and swimming pool facilities. 2 x man Dome tents are pitched and for sleeping we use a thick camping mattress (no stretches). Sleeping bag & pillows can be hired, or clients to bring their own. For camping nights clients to have own bathroom towels & flashlights.
Namibia has good tourism infrastructure and generally good service standards. Throughout this trip we stay in comfortable lodges which are simple, comfortable, and clean.

All safaris are sold as a private fully inclusive package and include the following:
- Service of a Trained Safari Guided Driver
- Transport, accommodation, and all National Park Entrance Fees
- Meals stated on above itinerary (Breakfast x 9 / Lunches x 4 / Dinners x 6)
- Meals can be either purchased picnic style lunch or at accommodation
- (Meals that are not included are on client’s own expense, budget +/- N$ 200.00 per person for dinner at parks restaurants.)

- Camping Options: All camping equipment for camping nights includes 2-man dome tent, which thick sleeping mattress with sleeping bag, pillow, tables, and chairs. Meals on camping can either be purchased picnic style meals or your guide will prepare at camp.
NOTE that alternative lodges/camps can be used if the above lodges/camps are fully booked.
